LG Chem is a leading Automotive battery manufacturer located in Holland, MI. Journey Construction Group partnered with LG Chem to create an expansion of their existing parking lot to meet the demand of their employee growth. Journey Construction stepped into action utilizing the Design/Build method and hiring the necessary engineers to appropriately design and construct the parking lot. The existing subgrade materials were very poor and would not allow for a traditional parking lot construction method. After several design meetings it was determined that a chemical stabilization method would be the most cost effective and long lasting parking lot design.
